Forum:Best bloggers on the site
Here's an idea! I've noticed that a lot of our users are very active in the blogosphere. Though my blog has been dead for almost two years, I have come across some rather entertaining and thought-provoking blogs during my days on the internet. Who among us users has the best blog, according to you guys? Because that might finally explain why some of us have more featured articles than others. --Scofield & The Machine 08:33, May 27, 2011 (UTC)
- We have bloggers?--- 09:32, May 27, 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah we do. Dr. Skullthumper used to have one before he changed his website, and even Cajek used to have one, though even he doesn't seem to have updated it in over two years. I wonder if Hyperbole has one, though... --Scofield & The Machine 10:03, May 27, 2011 (UTC)

- It's not really "very active in the blogosphere". More like "posts at stormfront". Honkies. You people are all honkies. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 15:02, May 27, 2011 (UTC)
- I guess I overestimated Uncyclopedia users' blogging proficiency. But if anybody wants to know how to write a really good blog, Leigh Whannell's blog is a good place to look. You know, THE Leigh Whannell? The guy who co-created Saw along with THE James Wan? --Scofield & The Machine 18:38, May 27, 2011 (UTC)
- James is okay. His brother was better. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 20:43, May 27, 2011 (UTC)

Blogosphere
I subscribe to about 1000 blog posts a week. I don't read them all, but the term Blog is about as descriptive today as pamphlet was in the 18th century, or email is today. What I think Scolfield is talking about are the personal web journals kept in blog form by editors of Uncyclopedia. I kept a very detailed blog when I was in the hospital for Congestive Heart Failure, I have some random thoughts put down in a few places.
The term Blogosphere just means people that are writing in a relatively casual matter about stuff important or interesting to them. But calling it a blog is no different than calling it a journal or a home page or personal website'. Some Bloggers in fact are paid professional writers writing in blog form for a major news organization. Others are my mom writing about her latest knitting project.
Simply put, blogging tech makes it easy to send something like an email to the world where they get posted in date order (usually reverse, because, thats why.
But what would constitute best blog. Funniest? most pictures of boats? Most links to interesting news stories? would we have to have categories? Best political, best personal, best photo, best escargot?
With this topic change I wanted to address the what is a blog/blogosphere as well as address the issue of lumping all blogs in one category. All email is not the same, and some blogs are spammy. But others get book deals. Clearly the latter is a good'un. Back to you, Gene. --Kэвилипс MUN,CM,NS,3of7 14:59, June 2, 2011 (UTC)
Uncyclopedia blogs
It's been a long time since I've seen Uncyclopedians blogging. Who here would be interested in a blogging system for Uncyclopedia, maybe kind of like the one Wikia currently has, but better? It's something I've been considering coding for the past while. – Sir Skullthumper, MD (criticize • writings • SU&W) 15:02 Jun 02, 2011
