- This is the utility template for notices on user talk pages, and as deemed necessary by the members of the department.
- There are two spaces for text, a changeable header and optional footnote.

Summons Template[edit]
- A subpoena template for the mainspace. Use it to catch the attention of editors by adding an UnLegal joke to the article, including a link to a choice page.
- The header and text is changeable, you can link to any page you choose and there is an optional link text parameter.

I'm username, and on behalf of the Uncyclopedia Legal Department, I'm here to welcome you! Thank you for your contributions, yeah... Anyway, here are a few good links for noobs:

- How to be funny and not just stupid -besides a good read, it pretty much sums everything up.
- Formatting - a quick guide to wikifying an article.

Writing articles is not a requirement, but it certainly is fun. To get started, it's recommended that you create articles in your userspace (for example, User:Legal Department/sandbox) so you can edit at your leisure. If you decide to create articles in the legally-binding world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above to avoid instant deletion, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well.
When posting on forum pages, talk pages, etc., please sign your name by typing four tildes (~~~~) or use the "sign" button (
) above the edit box. This will automatically produce your name and the date, and avoid the aggravation that goes along with unsigned comments.
