How and why is it funny? Any suggestions?
Okay, I have to be honest with you: This is a hard article to review because it is so fucking good! If I were to delve into every part of your article that I enjoyed, I would regress to being eleven-year-old!GINA quoting lines from the movie I just saw in the parking lot, hoping to get another laugh out of them. So I am going to try to keep my focus on what was really, really good as opposed to what was merely really good.
- When you hit upon aluminati, you hit upon a good pun, which as you know is much harder than it looks to someone who only reads humor.
- I loved how you managed to tie The Mary Tyler Moore Show into the conspiracy in such a way that it was ridiculous by real-world standards, but it helped define the boundaries of the universe you had created as opposed to breaking the rules of said universe.
- I laughed harder at the "Saturday Night Fever" gag than most of the other ones, which is impressive because you kept me laughing throughout the article.
How good is an idea behind the article?
I cannot imagine how you could improve on your concept. Once you established it in the lead, I laughed and had to read the rest to get my laughter fix. Much to my delight, you saw the concept through to the end.
How good does it look and how well does it read?
I found one typo that I took the liberty of correcting. As for the rest, it looks amazing!
How are the images? Are they relevant, with good quality and formatting?
You got a good laugh out of me with the Timothy Leary picture (and with the rest of the Leary-related content).
The article's overall quality - that indefinable something.
You have distinguished yourself not only by what you have written but also by what you did not write. Never once did I find blindsided by a gratuitous joke about sex, violence, racism, or antisemitism. Every gag was justified by the context.
An overall summation of the article.
I know that you place a lot of importance on making Uncyclopedia a web site for articles that satirize encyclopedias and thus have an encyclopedic tone. So please know that I mean what I am about to say without hyperbole: Your article is quintessentially a satire of the encyclopedia format. I fully intend to link to your article when I want to explain to others what an Uncyclopedia article should look like.
