Talk:My Journeys with the GPS

Saw you were looking for advise from M.O. and decided to stick my nose in where it wasn't asked.

As far as I can see is, the central theme isn't clear. Who wrote this article (besides you)? Meaning, is this an ad for a product? If someone came up with GPerSona(C) it would belong to a company. Perhaps this is something like an infomercial.

Oh, okay, I see. The beginning is a driver getting frustrated with his GPS and this GPerSona(C) promises to ameliorate his difficulties. Okay. I'm not clear what is so frustrating about the GPS. It seems to be giving good directions. So, if GPerSona(C) is the central conceit, how do we make it appealing?

Here's a couple of spitballs:

Use your "Worst Case Scenario" as the opening with a tag line of something like "Has this ever happened to you?" The GPS owner gets his ass kicked by thugs, he feels like shite, and it's all his GPS' fault. So what does he do? He buys a new GPS with GPerSona(C) and here's all the wonderful stuff he gets..!

Okay, here's another idea - the owner of the GPS is Cockney and can't understand what his unit is saying, The clear English is beyond him, so he gets custom GPS which speaks his language.

as a button you could do: "Call now! Operators are standing by! But that's not all! Order in the next 30 minutes and we'll include this set of steak knives (or: We'll include GPS Classic! (aka, a map)).

Also, the Russian voice needs to have broken Russian syntax.
