Predestination is a 2014 Australian documentary based on a person that somewhat resembles American actor Ethan Hawke, whom was evidently cast to play said person.

Spoiler warning[edit]

The cheese in your fridge is about to expire. Oh, and yeah, I’m about to spoil the story.

She.

Plot[edit]

The documentary follows Agent Doe, a real life time-travel agent that worked for the TPD (Time Police Department) and his mission that saw him return to 1975 New York to stop the Wizz Fizz Bomber.

Side-plot[edit]

Alright, so, listen closely, things are about to get confusing. But remember that is real, as in it actually happened. So yeah....

So, a woman meets a man. The woman and man have sex. The woman gets pregnant from said man. The woman gives birth and then gives the baby away. Keep this in mind for later.

Now, this is where it starts to get a bit more confusing, more so than what you just read, that was confusing, yeah?

He.

Anyway, the woman then gets a sex change to become a man. I mean that’s how a sex change works but.... I’m getting too distracted. Back on track. So, the woman, who is now a man, goes back in time. So the woman, who is now a man, meets her (I mean his?) previous self, the woman who he used to be. The woman, not knowing that the man, who is actually her but male, have sex.

Are you following so far? So the woman pretty much fucks herself, cause time travel and sex change and whatnot. But, you might be thinking “What’s so confusing about that? That seems pretty straightforward to me” and you see, I would agree with that assessment, however, remember what I told you to remember before? The child!

So, she, I mean he? He, who used to be a she, gets his, I mean her, I mean.... what do I mean? Anyway, he gets herself pregnant. Again, not that hard to comprehend, it’s pretty weird but pretty average for a sci-fi movie, but that’s not what I told you to remember. This is what;

She gives the baby away.

Yep. So, we find out that the baby that she gave away… DUN DUN DUN....

WAS HER!

That’s right, she gave birth to herself, whose parents are… herself/himself?

Yep. This actually happened by the way.

Cast[edit]

Ethan Hawke as Agent Doe/The Barkeep - Ethan Hawke once again teams up with The Spierig Brothers after Daybreakers to give a decent performance. Literally the only reason to watch the movie. Unless you're into all that weird stuff, then he isn't the only reason to watch it then.

Sarah Snook as Jane/John/The Unmarried Mother - Sarah, a female, plays both a female and a male in the film before any of that was cool and 'hip' and 'trendy' and accepted by those on Twitter.

Producers: The documentary was produced by Dave Filoni and Jon Faverau

Modern applications[edit]

Fans of the documentary and the real life Agent Doe have tried to replicate the events that were depicted. With one fan traveling back to 1942, attacking people with Mars Bars and being nicknamed The Mars Bar Slapper. One woman, who is now also a man like Snooks' character, tried to replicate the whole 'giving birth to yourself' thing but only managed to get to the 'having sex with your old self' part. He now has to pay child support to himself.
