Help talk:HowTo
I'd suggest for the bottom bit the gag "No man is an island, but if you lash a bunch of them together, they make a pretty good raft." I would suggest that, but I don't want to.
Someone revert this and ban the guy who did it --Nytrospawn 12:40, 20 Mar 2005 (EST)
where is the actual help info going?
what? The help info was linked to the front page, the person who blanked this page is gonna get banned. --Nytrospawn 12:45, 20 Mar 2005 (EST)
I am new to this thing, explain to me why it is possible to blank the help document.. (I was needing that btw) Is it possible to bring it back?
Go to the history tab, and check the last couple of edits. I already changed it back, but since I am not sysop I cant do automatic reversions. --Nytrospawn 12:59, 20 Mar 2005 (EST)
Sorry I didn't catch that sooner, but I was offline for a while doing stuff in Meat World. The person who blanked the page is now banned. When you folks notice something like that is going on and there doesn't seem to be any admins around to stop it, go to the column on the left, click on "Special Pages", then click on "Admin List", the start clicking on names and sending us messages. One of us is bound to respond. Thanks again to Nytro for changing the page back. --Uvula Donor 00:42, 21 Mar 2005 (EST)
Stub command[edit]
I think the Stub command is funky keen. Are there any others like it? Is there a list somewhere of hidden formatting commands? I've already seen the Ohfishl one, but it doesn't even list "Stub". --astadt 22:46, 20 Mar 2005 (EST)
I added and modified a few things to improve the readability of the doccument. I think my changes could make it easier for new users to learn how do schtuff. --bdanials 06:00, 25 Mar 2005 (EST)
Images[edit]
Hey guys, I'm having trouble attaching images to my articles, usually it stays broken until RadicalX comes and fixes 'em, but in the meantime my pages look retarded, how do I attach? I tried the way it says on the editing page, could someone walk me through step by step, remembering that I'm a writer not a techie? Thanks you guys are the bestest--slack 17:10, 18 Apr 2005 (EDT)
The images have to be uploaded to the Uncyclopedia first. You can do that with the "Upload File" link on the side bar. Also, be sure to obey the rules for uploading. Make sure the Uncylopedia won't be sued for it (Fair Use, your own image, etc.). PS - When you want sign something, you can just use the signature button on the toolbar. Like this: --RadicalX 17:18, 18 Apr 2005 (EDT)
Yeah...still ain't working... Iknow how to sign, just not how to make pics work, I found a pic for Gibberish, but I need one for Ponce de Leon, I'd like one of Ponch from CHiPs--slack 19:52, 18 Apr 2005 (EDT)
where's this "upload file" link ? 212.17.118.179 13:39, 10 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Feedback...[edit]
Is there some way to get feedback for contributions? I'm not looking for a pat on the back so much as the assurance that I'm not consistantly irritating you guys. I'm just a noob so excuse my blissful ignorance. --Eba
Templates[edit]
I'm trying to make a new Oscar Wilde quote and have succeeded on the "Wilde" template but not on the "Wilde:E" one. I can't figure out how everyone got their quotes to work and what the connection is to the "OWQL" template. What is the "OWQL" template for and how can you make your quote connect with it? --Awshit 23:05, 30 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Ok, ok, ok. I'll make up a god damn page with directions. Man, I never expected that so many people would want to help. Check the Community Portal in a bit, under "UnProjects". --Famine 00:07, 31 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Revert edits?[edit]
How do I do this "revert" thing? I always see it in the history comments, but is it a quick click here, or is it fancy pants talk? I need to know to protect my Article. Thanks. Carbunkel 18:08, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
- The one-click automatic revert method is reserved for administrators. Any user can revert manually: 1) Go to history, 2) click on the date of the version you want 3) click edit 4) put in a summary such as 'revert', and click [save] (you don't need to change the contents of the main textarea when reverting). --Splaka 04:26, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
Expand for consistency with Wikipedia?[edit]
Wikipedia uses an editing help page that is grabbed straight from Meta-Wiki. I understand that Uncyclopedia's satirical obligations probably prevent it from doing the same, but shouldn't this page be expanded to better match the thoroughness of its Wikipedia equivalent?
Also, isn't it a little rude to Wikipedia to provide a link that edits a Wikipedia article (the "Edit Wikipedia's Sea monster article" link at the bottom)? I know I'm killing the fun again, but... Pentium5dot1 00:13, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

I need help[edit]
I need ideas for my article. The Caillou article has images and text, but not enough. If someone has a good idea, it will be welcome to be added.

How to upload pictures on to articles[edit]
I am having trouble trying to figure out how to upload files from off of my computer on to uncyclopedia. Can somebody tell me how to do it? - Keezfocer 17:15 28 Sept 2009
Please remove the section about Template:Crap[edit]
Since Template:Crap is now dammed, someone should remove the bit at the bottom that suggests use of the template, since it will undoubtedly lead to the template's continual use in mainspace. --Andorin Kato 08:13, November 11, 2009 (UTC)
Special characters?[edit]
I'm a noob; could you add a section revealing how to insert popular special characters such as a real-looking long-dash instead of typing -- ? And, although often only used in a joke context, the trademark symbol (TM)? --Dracopol 05:00, January 12, 2011 (UTC)
- Various ways - use the numerical codes - ϧ (that's a completely random one - I've no idea what they are) use the more friendly codes (also no idea what they are, but they're like the other ones but based on the names of the things) or copy it from somewhere else.
