Forum:Something needs to be done about the Proofreading Squad
I'm just a user but I want to sound off on something. The Proofreading Squad, also known as the Comma Brigade, which is supposed to be fixing spelling and grammar. I'm not criticizing them; I'm just noting the lack of active members on the proofreading squad. It's been 8 days and an article of mine hasn't been proofread. The point I'm trying to get across is that the proofreading squad needs more members and needs to be more active. There needs to be people active for proofreading articles and there also needs to be more promotion of the service. I didn't know it existed until it was mentioned in a Pee Review I requested. The problem is that so little people know of the Proofreading Squad and therefore members of it are not active enough. The two points I'm trying to get across are these:
- The proofreading squad needs to be more active and have more active members.
- There needs to be more promotion of the proofreading squad around Uncyclopedia.
That is all. --

I agree that it needs to be better promoted. I probably would have joined it by now if I had ever seen a link to it. --Hyperbole 18:31, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

- I proofread your forum and fixed the errors. I hope you don't mind. Yes, UN:PS is pretty slow sometimes. You might want to try using Firefox because it has a built-in spell-checker. --Pleb SYNDROME CUN medicate (butt poop!!!!) 18:38, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- Part of the problem, I think, is that as so few people know about it except members, not much gets put up for proofreading. I used to check it fairly regularly, but I got bored after seeing nothing new come up for ages. Now I almost forget it's there. There's no point or suggestion coming, by the way, it's just an observation. Now I'm off to observe something else. --SirU.U.Esq. VFH | GUN | Natter | Uh oh | Pee 20:24, Jun 10
- Oh no, there was a point. There's a list of members on that page. They signed up as willing to check articles, so if your article ain't being checked, you could always ask one of them, as long as you pick an active one who isn't me right at the moment, I'm sure they'll be happy to help! --SirU.U.Esq.
