Forum:RotM
Now there are currently 8 articles waiting to be reviewed, although there were many reviews done recently. As many other projects, the Pee Review needs more users' attention, as the amount it has right now is certainly not enough for it to survive. I personally think that the Reviewer of the Month award will:
- Bring people's attention towards the project;
- Force them to make reviews, as some of them will want to get the award;
- Provide more news for the UnSignpost.
In addition to this, UnSignpost can be a good way to promote the competition. Do you have any comments or questions? Anton (talk) 12:48, July 10, 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for alerting us to the situation Anton. Never good to see articles languishing there. --RomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 18:03, July 10, 2013 (UTC)
- You are welcome! The problem is that not many people know about this and what Scott often does with the new users ("Hi there! And, by the way, could you, please, review one or two articles on the Pee Review page?") is very useful, as this is how I myself began working at that page. But any kind of competition will probably be something even more effective. Anton (talk) 20:09, July 10, 2013 (UTC)
So, what about the contest? Anton (talk) 12:37, July 13, 2013 (UTC)
The Right Honourable Member backs up his Right Honourable Friend (who is also a Right Honourable Member despite the fact that both are Lords but the Right Honourable Member (who isn't a Right Honourable Member) does not know what the House of Lords equivalent is)
Here, Here. My Lords and Ladies (House of Lords you fool!) I am in accordance with Lord Anton here and what's more Mr. Speaker I think it is a damned sham-ed thing that members of the public leave an article on the Pee Review and then do not review others. What's more I hate common people. On these two premises I vote in favour that this nation shall go to war against her people in the name of Her Majesty, God and the good of the Conservative Party. But before this happens let us open up RotM so that we may encourage more people to review some articles. Sir ScottPat (talk) 11:20, July 15, 2013 (UTC)
So?
Are we going to reopen it or not? Anton (talk) 09:17, July 31, 2013 (UTC)
- Perhaps 'writer of the quarter' might be more accurate for the moment. I am hoping to promote 'new user of the month', that can be anyone who creates an account in August and either writes an article or does some impressive editing and reworking of stories in need of TLC or perhaps TCP. --RomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 07:04, August 1, 2013 (UTC)
