Lush is slang for someone who drinks too much beer and other alcohol. Very much like the term drunk or alcoholic. My brother, aka Black Demon says that he is not an alcoholic, because alcoholics go to meetings and he doesn't. He is very proud of the fact that he is a drunk or lush. Me and my brother are both mostly German and Scot-Irish, so we have the drinking genes. Only I gave up drinking for humor and other things that give me a natural high.
