Hey, this could be YOU if you win Erection Day 2012!

Hey all,

I was suggesting over at Forum:Count to a million that we hold a writing contest in honor of Obama's victory (or defeat, whichever comes first) at Washington DC, called Election Day 2012 (a.k.a. Erection Day), where users submit articles on politics, Communism, science, etc. as long as they are at least very remotely related to some sort of politics. These can be new articles, deleted articles (as long as you build them from scratch!), existing articles, news articles, etc. And maybe we'll elect the winners to the "Politician" status, which means you'll be more trusted in Uncyclopedia's decision-making process or something but you have to advocate for users, particularly n00bs (not to be confused with admins). What do you think?

Maybe a little early for this (America's election is in November) but not a bad idea if worked out well. I thought you were going to go and occupy something? Aleister 23:23 12-3-'12
Nah. I meant starting Nov01 or something and ending on Inauguration Day. And I already occupied something. --Qzekrom sig trans.gif This has been an automated message by Cute Zekrom (talk) 23:27, March 12, 2012 (UTC)

Not a bad idea. What I suggest though...is that you make it a spontaneous informal competition on your user space. Announce it some time in the future (though not in the next couple weeks please) and say "all right...you all have five days to get a election/obamah/whatever style article done, and linked to my userspace page. And do the judging yourself with maybe another guest judge or something. I've come to agree with TKF that new competitions and such will take away from the established ones. One way to deal with it, is to make new ideas informal, user spaced and spontaneous. Of course...all of this is in my humble opinion, and if you disagree with me, you can go vandalise my user page :) --ShabiDOO 22:08, March 13, 2012 (UTC)
