We are getting a lot of vandalism on other wikia with external images from ED. So I want to put them on the spam blacklist. The only wiki I can think of that might actually want to link to them, is this one. So waddya think? Any objections to a blacklisting? It would mean a few pages won't save until the links are removed, and obviously future mentions won't be able to be linked (although I'm sure there is a workaround). But I can't see any major downside here... -- sannse<staff/> (talk) 10:51, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

  • I say blacklist them. I think they should be added to the en.wp blacklist, too. In fact, blacklist them everywhere and remove the links to the site from existing pages. Dawg.gif » Brig Sir Dawg | t | v | c » 12:37, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

  • Meh. I may want to create a "Wiki-Wiki" in the future as an encyclopedia and directory for those Wikis which got the screw job from Wikipedia. If so we can't blacklist any Wiki, even ED, no matter how much it sucks. Crazyswordsman...With SAVINGS!!!! (T/C) 15:00, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
  • Please do. An excellent idea - no need to send anyone there ever. -- Imrealized ...hmm? 19:30, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
I'd like to extend it to a wikiwide blacklist of links to ED too. The should be treated like any other NNP. -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb.png (talk to me)
I think "blacklisting" means to prevent any links to the affected site from being posted, doesn't it? So that would be covered. Although I don't think existing links are affected, if any - those would still have to be removed manually. (I could be wrong, of course...)  c • > • cunwapquc? 06:22, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
edited out. sometmes i make just 2 much sense. -- mowgli 20:35, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
  • I am pro-blacklist. We have no reason to link to them. —rc (t) 20:43, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
  • I honestly can't think of a good reason not to blacklist that site.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 20:56, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
  • I say first we pink-list them, then we brown-face them, then we blacklist 'em! It's too bad, though... ED could have been a useful and interesting website, if it weren't for the actions of the relatively few people who are in their user community.  c • > • cunwapquc? 06:22, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

They are hereby blacklisted. Let me know if it causes any problems -- sannse<staff/> (talk) 06:36, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
