Ain't Nuthin' But a G' Thang is a work by Dr. Dre featuring Snoop Dogg but was also one of the earliest works of Randy Newman. Randy's version was originally uncopyrighted, which Elvis took advantage of and recorded the song as his own.

The song was inspired by Randy's desire for the gangster lifestyle. The song is the same as the unoriginal "Ain't Nuthin' But A Hound Dog." Elvis simply changed the words to make the song his own.
