English[edit]
Adjective[edit]
AM-FM stereo
- A marketing euphemism for a broadcast radio receiver on which the FM is stereo but the AM is not. These receivers are the primary reason why AM is dead in most markets for anything but talk radio, if it hasn't gone completely silent. Unfortunately for
sheepshoppers, being an informed consumer isn't going to help here as these are the only stereo broadcast band receivers on the market. Best just to ignore the whole issue, flag down a passing pirate ship and ask if there be any MP3's matey, as broadcast radio is a dead medium.
