Template talk:USpresident
Gerald Ford[edit]
This template does not match uncyclopedia content please have this deletad or something like this. Most of these people were not president at all. This is to wikipedia and is not funny or true. Please delete this. Gerald Ford never was president at all.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.9.33.27 (talk • contribs)
- Are you fucking kidding me? Gerald Ford was president. It's not suppose to be funny, it's a navigational template that has links to the US Presidents, for orginization purposes. --Sir Manforman 17:41, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
Haruhi Suzumiya[edit]
Ok, sure, but why does Haruhi Suzumiya keep getting taken off the template? She's a president too, according to Uncyclopedia, we should still link her because even though she's an anime character she is the 45th president. That's enough to get her put on this template. - If we follow that logic, we will have OVER 9000! random names on the template. Calling random people president of the United States isn't funny. --Mn-z 19:59, October 2, 2010 (UTC)
- Hello, her infobox says she's the 45th President of the United States. No other person's article has such. Heck, it even goes into great detail about her presidency too. She deserves to have a place on the template. DivinexUltima 21:58, October 2, 2010 (UTC)
- Problem solved. You're welcome.
- On a more serious note, writing about how a random animie character was president of the United States is not funny. The idea has been done to death, and at one time, dozens of articles listed random people as president. The reason that few do anymore is because the idea is unfunny. --Mn-z 01:14, October 3, 2010 (UTC)
- I knew you were going to resort to that. Why must you mess with her article when I was just asking a question? DivinexUltima 04:03, October 3, 2010 (UTC)
- I might be new here, but I respect anime articles. Sorry, my friend. DivinexUltima 04:05, October 3, 2010 (UTC)
- Because the idea of her being president of the United States is stupid. It doesn't even go with the rest of the article, which switches over into a discussion about the other characters in the book series. It almost looks like two unrelated articles were copy-pasted together. Or at least the transition is really really choppy. At any rate the article needs alot of purging. Some helpful tips:
- Any reference to Chuck Norris, Mr. T., Oscar Wilde, Tom Cruise et cetera can probably be removed
- Mentioning sex/buttsecks/gaymansex/poop/CUM in itself is not funny
- Internal consistency and flow and important: 80% of humor is delivery
- It is better to be brief than tedious. --Mn-z 14:16, October 3, 2010 (UTC)

Why?: this template is limited to actual presidents[edit]
Because otherwise, it will bloat up to several random names. If we allow random person A, there is no good reason to prohibit random person B, C, D, ... Z, et cetera from being on the template. --Mn-z 17:05, June 19, 2011 (UTC)
