I'M NOT DONE YET! 71.220.221.242 00:09, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

Note that {{idea}} is not as urgent as {{ICU}} is. "ICU" gives you 7 days to finish, while "idea" gives you approximately a month. Please do continue working hard on the article, of course. Pentium5dot1 07:16, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Rewrite tagging/content suggestions[edit]

I have changed the {{idea}} tag to {{rewrite|character=ermey}}, which means that the article will definitely be deleted after 30 days of no edits.

I believe that the article needs a rewrite since the present content is a little too dirty/Encyclopedia Dramatica-like. The repeated references to rape and other sexual issues don't appeal to the average reader at all.

A rewrite of this article should emphasize at least one of the following: Mew's essentially benevolent nature, its rarity, its general strength in battle, and its New Age-like qualities.

How should we mention the following...?

  • Mew's ability to fly using psychic powers (as opposed to conventional means of propulsion)
  • The "bubble" that Mew uses as a shield (same as the usual depiction of Mew in a bubble? possibly the inspiration for the shields in Super Smash Bros.?)
  • Mew is designed to look like an early-stage vertebrate embryo, right?
  • In the Pokémon video games, Mew can learn any TM/HM
  • (Add more facts here)

Some gentle mentions of a conspiracy theory might be appropriate, but it would probably need to be a conspiracy started by aliens (as Mewtwo is essentially a conspiracy started by humans).

I am not a Pokémon expert, so I am unable to complete the rewrite myself. However, I will be writing down some of my ideas at User:Pentium5dot1/Storage facility/Mew. Pentium5dot1 03:51, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Must be difficult to try[edit]

Is this cat Huffable?

It's debatable whether Mew even qualifies as a kitten. So my answer is NO. Then again, I'm not an expert... Pentium5dot1 01:45, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

Possible redirect[edit]

I would like to redirect quantum paradox here (since it's a plausible search term in light of the article's present content and how it is discussed elsewhere). Any objections? --Pentium5dot1|t~^_^~c 23:14, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

For the record, the capitalized Quantum Paradox (and a misspelling) already existed as a redirect to this article before I made the above comment. Does anyone have any objections if I create the redirect Quantum paradox in the next few days? --Pentium5dot1 t~^_^~c 08:59, May 13, 2010 (UTC)
Done. --Pentium5dot1 t~^_^~c 06:33, May 21, 2010 (UTC)

Regarding my recent reversion of an IP edit[edit]

Specifically this - it looks like the IP was making a good-faith effort to write a substantial quantity of text, but I had to revert it because 1) it overwrote an important section of the article, when it should instead have been added as a new section, and 2) there were several problems with the spelling and grammar. The IP appears to be dynamic, so it's pointless posting on its talk page. What do you suggest I do? --Pentium5dot1 t~^_^~c 18:00, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

Upon reading the added text more closely, it looks like it might have been copied and pasted from somewhere in violation of copyright. --Pentium5dot1 t~^_^~c 18:02, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
And again... If I see any more of this vandalism, I will head to Ban Patrol. --Pentium5dot1 t~^_^~c 02:38, 25 July 2009 (UTC)

Suggested image[edit]

Image:Retarted pokemon.gif (view the article to see the image)

Rescued from Special:UnusedFiles. This clearly depicts Mew; can someone suggest a caption for its use in the article? (Something about Mew spinning around and creating a wormhole?) --Pentium5dot1 t~^_^~c 06:40, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

I have gone ahead and added the image myself. Note that in my edit summary where I said "animated GIFs can't be resized," that probably isn't true; all I meant was that my attempts to resize the image were not showing in the preview. --Pentium5dot1 t~^_^~c 06:22, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
