I'm awfley sorry old chap but this Lanky Twang thing sounds awfley like Yorkshite. One would seriously have to question whether the author is an authentic Lancastrian but perchance a Yorkshitter or Yorkshitter collaborator. Think Geoffrey Boycott. Certainly here in Bolton we would never dream of communicating in the vile Yorkshite-like tones like what this article suggests. --Oneeye 02:24, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

So, um, glad you liked it. Perhaps you could lend a hand? Being from Wigan, I wouldn't know what this 'Lanky Twang' is :) -- Hindleyite 10:51, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
Ecky-Thump! Actually there are a great many similarities between a number of the northern dialects and a lot of cross fertilisation of word usage. A good example is "nesh" which a lot of places say is used in Yorkshire and yet I have always heard it in Liverpool and South Lancs. Go figure. Bolton, eh? -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb.png (talk to me)
