“ | We have to standardize the way our site looks across all wikis, using the Monaco skin for anonymous users. In the past, communities have used various skins – Monaco, Quartz or Monobook. That's a luxury that we can't afford to offer any more, as advertisers strongly prefer a consistent look-and-feel. | ” |

- Ugh. Well, I guess the big question is: will this effect Uncyclopedia? And, if it will, then I am against it effecting Uncyclopedia. Because it looks ugly. -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 15:05, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- Wikipedia still won't be funny though, right? Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 15:09, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think the "design" would be too bad if someone had actually consulted a designer in the first place, rather than producing what appears to be "something a developer would come up with". Uncyclopedia, and the other wikis, don't exist to conform to the whims of advertisers, the focus should remain with the end users. Advertisers wishing to reach the market of these communities should just learn to lump it. -- Sir Mhaille (talk to me)
- Eww. Well, hopefully it won't affect Uncyc... We've been on a different skin anyways, right? - Don Leddy the Crunch (Nyah, see, nyah!) 15:14, Jun 7
The day wikia starts changing uncyc to suit advertiser's whims, and starts inserting ads into the not-for-profit material itself, is the day its use of uncyc becomes for-profit rather than just "paying the bills". • Spang • ☃ • talk • 14:41, 08 Jun 2008
