Forum:Too offensive
Have you, or anyone in your family, ever seen something in an Uncyc article that was too offensive that wasn't vandalism? If so, please give a detailed account. If not, describe what you WOULD consider offensive maybe? For myself, I wrote a whole featured article basically about what I referred to as "indiscriminate corpse fucking" (no, I won't give you the link), and so I haven't really seen something really offensive. But I bet if I actually bothered to read Schizophrenia I would be pissed off, seeing as how I've had experience with it. ...nah, probably not. Maybe if there was an article by a Conservapedia weirdo who said we're all going to die and go to hell? Nah, not even that.
Anyway, yeah, what offends you here, if anything?

- I haven't created anything offensive myself, just thinking about it is giving me the vapours, but I am quite offended my this, as, I believe, are the family of Isaac Asimov. Also, needs more robots. -- Sir Mhaille (talk to me)
- During my time at Uncyclopedia, I have written or contributed heavily to articles on the subjects of stalking, serial killing, child labour, necrophilia, harbouring unnatural urges towards a toaster, religious fundamentalism, incest, alcoholism, animal cruelty and Paris Hilton. I also have an idea for one relating to paedophilia. However, I could never write anything bad about Tim Henman (he's a tennis player, Cajek). That does offend me. Pathetic isn't it? -- 15Mickey20 (talk to Mickey) 11:25, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- I am offended by Benson. Also, in the Tim Henman article I was taking the piss out of those people that used to shout 'Come on Tim!' at Wimbledon each year. Plus, I don't see what's so offensive about it anyhow. -- Hindleyite Converse 11:48, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- What do you think I was doing every Wimbledon for the last ten years? I just don't like people painting Tim as a loser. I'd go into more detail, but that would turn into a long and ugly rant. -- 15Mickey20 (talk to Mickey) 12:00, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- :-8 Well, I'm sorry to offend you sir. If it makes you feel any better, I too used to shout at the telly for Greg or Tim to "come on". Then my dad told me to stop it because tennis is a southern ponce's sport and I went to shout profanity at a football referee instead. -- Hindleyite Converse 13:47, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- Don't worry, I didn't mean to specifically pick out your article as offensive. It just the one area where Uncyclopedia's self-appointed tennis correspondent doesn't like to go (even though I'm a hypocrite who made one Henman joke once, but that was writing in character so I tell myself it doesn't really count). -- 15Mickey20 (talk to Mickey) 13:56, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

- To my mind, when an article is mindlessly vicious about other people, that's offensive. I'm not a fan of pakkie-bashing, or nigger-hating, or spic-slamming. An equally vicious attack on a celebrity just because the person is famous and the writer is a pathetic loser is also offensive. There have been a few articles like that. Fortunately people who write them usually don't have the wit to rub two dry ironies together, so the truly offensive articles are usually end up either huffed or heavily revised. Anyway, at least in the few instances I've paid attention to. Subject matter is not the problem for me usually -- write about corpse-abusing sodomites if you want, just make it witty and insightful. ----OEJ 12:25, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, Fisher Price should go eat ships. -- Hindleyite Converse 13:48, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- That "wikia spotlight" thingy is pretty offensive. Does a firefly really need its own wiki? And what the hell is a stargate? Pah! Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 14:11, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, I'd much rather see porno adds there. — Sir Sycamore (talk) 14:19, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- Believe me, you are very lucky not to have New Monaco forced upon you like all the other Wikia wikis. If it weren't for the fact Uncyc is Wikia's "special child", you'd feel the grasp of this communism that's engulfing Wikia! Ahem. -- Hindleyite Converse 11:41, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
- We are special. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 14:37, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
- Quite personally, I believe we shouldn't delete articles for offensiveness, just the format in which it is presented, as in "OHMYGAWDZ I HATE NIGGRS THEI R SO GEY!!!!!!111!!" should be deleted on site, as they are just stupid and irrelevent, but if you watch something such as, say, the Boondocks (whoops, broken link), it's rather funny and somewhat offensive. I altogether say if it gets good laughs, keep it, and those who don't like it shouldn't read it. Chocolate Rain 15:40, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, IMHO offensive =/= unfunny. However, offensive =/= funny, either. Offensive is fine if it's funny, and it's not if it's not. Of course, I think I'm fairly desensitized to offensive things on Uncyc at this point. The stupidity you can find at Conservapedia or yahoo answers still pisses me off a little bit, though. - P.M., WotM, & GUN, Sir Led Balloon (Tick Tock) (Contribs) 16:49, Aug 28
- Yeah, I don't care how offensive things are (years of Comedy Central, Uncyclopedia, and [adult swim] have done that to me), but if it's stupid, just kill it, like you would any other stupid thing, offensive or not. Although I have to say stupid articles offend me. Chocolate Rain 18:42, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

- i recently tried my hand at an offensively toned article. also, i am extremely offended by blatant, unprovoked whoring in the village dump. 18:18, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- I personally try to avoid the really offensive stuff (like 9/11), but the closest to offensive that I've made could be considered my present rewrite of 2008 Olympics. It has a professional tone, but we'll see how it turns out. - Admiral Enzo Aquarius-Dial the Gate 19:38, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- I find articles about people from other countries to be offensive. Why, just the other day I looked at the frontpage and what do I see? Isaac Newton! I have no idea who he is, but he's from a foreign place like Germany or something. Real people come from America. Foreigners come from other places. Only the former are important. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 19:51, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- I was extremely offended by So So's article that woman. I felt that it was unfairly and viciously slanderous to that woman. 20:22, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
It's times like these that I feel compelled to quote Seinfeld.
Priest: So, that offends you as a Jew?
Jerry: No, it offends me as a comedian. -- 15Mickey20 (talk to Mickey) 22:07, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- It's ironic because Jerry Seinfeld said it. I continue to have no idea what irony means. Ironic, init? Sir Modusoperandi Boinc!
I'm offended by every article on Uncyclopedia. Every last one. But especially Idiocrates.--<<>> 02:19, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, Uncyclopedia is the.... aaaaaragh! What are you doing with that AK47? -- Hindleyite Converse 11:42, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
The only thing that offends me on Uncyc is <insert name here>'s very existence. Seriously. Fucking irritating template. It sits there, and I swear it looks somehow smug in a templatey way every time it fools someone. Smug little irritating templatey bastard. And it's really hard to resist using it. Yeah. Smug little irritating tempting templatey bastard. And it's overused. Fucking smug little overused irritating tempting templatey bastard. I'm offended. Really offended. By it. Honest, <insert name here>. --UU - natter 08:25, Aug 29
- You know what really offends me? Use of the {{username}} template for evil. When will people grow up and start using the {{admin}} template, like God intended? Damn admins. Serves 'em right, for whateveritis they do around here. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 08:43, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
HOMG CLICK FOR N00DZThe fuck. --LOLsupreme 18:13, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
Isn't that from Scary Movie 2? (the last good one out of any of those movies...they started sucking after the Wayans brothers stopped making them...) Chocolate Rain 18:15, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
- Statistically speaking, they sucked before that. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 19:36, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
- But before that, the movies actually had a somewhat unique plot. I mean, Disaster movie! Why the fuck are they pardoying Indiana Jones, Hannah Montana (although she will bring about the imminent destruction of the human race), and The Dark Knight? Why all the random pop culture references? The first two kept to the subject matter (well, mostly), which is why I'm saying they started sucking after that. I'm very strongly opinionated about Wayans Brothers movies. Oh, and "Don't Be A Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice" (with an unnecessarily long title) was hilarious. Chocolate Rain 19:42, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
- Scary Movie was okay, but dumb. SM2 was dumb and mean ("Hey, look every one! I'm a cripple and my friend has a mangled hand. Isn't that hilarious?"). Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 20:05, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

I was going to write an article calling for the assasaination of Barrack Obama. I suspect that would have been too far. -- sheer Ape (adhere) (Riot Porn) 20:06, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
- Ooh, yeah, you'd better write UnNews:Please do me a solid and assassinate Barack Obama before it becomes illegal to do so. 23:05, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

- Silly Scotsmen. Didn't leave Great Britain when they had the chance. I would say the same about Northern Ireland, but they're actually sorting things out... Chocolate Rain 23:23, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
- They're just all too hung over to fight anymore.
- Someone needs to get them some explosives, like the Irish did, so they could mix that with their liquor and go the same way... Chocolate Rain 23:40, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
- I will tell you what's really offensive eh! *rant rant*... They asked the Welsh if they wanted to be independent right... The Welsh said "Um, actually, no thanks"... But... When did they ask the English if they wanted to keep the Welsh? Eh? Where is the democracy in that? Dammit! Also, those buggers from the Isle of Man? Don't get me started on them... MrN Fork you! 23:58, Aug 29
