- yes, sir modusoperandi is right. it took me 67 clicks to try skew the "yes, more polls awesome" (plus an intuitive proof by induction) to finally decide to give up. funny post (in a sophisticated way) this is. sir ghelae rocks. -- mowgli 19:29, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

I just tried it - if you edit the questions, the votes reset (very sensible). If you revert, they are restored. Nice. -- sannse<staff/> (talk) 06:36, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

The problem is that it would be easier to fool this polls with sockpuppets, than the traditional polls with headers showing all the signatures and timestamps. You have to check the history to know who has voted an when to catch the socks.---Asteroid B612 (aka Rataube) - Ñ 12:39, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
I have a few polls on my user page and they suck (no comment). They can be found here: User:RichDude530/Polls --$$$ - RichDude530 - $$$ (RANT) (MUN) 16:57, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

Just wondering
Can this nifty program be used to poll if <insert name here> is in fact the shittiest Uncyclopedian around (as I've always suspected) or is there someone more shitty and more deserving of the Biggest Jerk & Loser!! award? Such negative votes are best cast anonymously -- my mom feels -- 'cos otherwise they spread hatred and lose and stuff and this program seems ideal for the purpose. just wondering; no offence anyone. -- mowgli 16:17, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, that's enough. Stop using {{USERNAME]]! It's funny the first few times, but you're killing it. It's turning into another russian reversal...--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 16:23, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

arearen't[1] about to be deaded already? In Russia {{USERNAME}} {{USERNAME}}s YOU !! Don't be a prick on a sunday. -- mowgli 17:01, 3 September 2006 (UTC)- I'm just saying, "Don't abuse it" because, like RR or Wilde or, indeed, any other meta/meme, overuse leads to meme backlash...--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 17:55, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
- take out wilde, RR, chuck norris and you won't have anything left here. i'm not justifying my hastening {{USERNAME}} to meme-fying and back-lashing but such knee-jerk policing to what seem cliches to us but are actually (i) novelty to tourists, and (ii) the idioms or motifs or paradigms or <insert-big-word-here > that define us (unknown to us); is smacking of elitism, insensitivity and (at least one more big word that describes this "dog in the manger" attitude best). these memes and the backlashes (especially the backlashes -- all your slashes belong to us!) give the outsiders, the tourists, an idea of the "nationalism," "belief" or "charter" uncyclopedians pledge to. they then want to be a part of the same
fraternitycountry! oscar wilde & RR should be encouraged here in a masochistic way -- that's why uniforms were invented. you know, someone killed humour way before i was born. but i'm still being blamed for having killed it !?! well, thanks a heap forruiningoccupying my this sunday eve (not to say i didn't kill {{{USERNAME}}!! for by jove, i did! and ha ha ha, i really enjoyed it!-- mowgli 18:53, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Some Suggested Usage
I'd just like to point out that the new poll extension will be extremely useful in setting up multiple-choice tests at Uncycloversity, and I would encourage everyone to start adding courses, even though the main portal page says not to... Also, I might have been the first to use the {{USERNAME}} template in a page, so for that I apologize. It does have legitimate uses, though, like on this page, for example! c • > • cunwapquc? 18:13, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
- why is it always some user who starts these backlashed memes? btw "Uncycloversity" is really funny/original. bookmarked it -- mowgli 18:59, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
Let's make sure we don't use use the polls for voting on things because it would encourage frivolous votes and descourage comments/explanations. --Sir gwax (talk) 20:08, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
