Summary[edit]
Disaster at HMRNB Packington, the underground secret submarine base in Staffordshire, England when K428 HMS Bulmer "surfaced" in the Hopwas escalator tunnel. It broke ground immediately outside Packington Fire Station rendering the station inoperable. Bulmer received serious damage, though the casualty toll was supringly low. Only Boris, the station cat perished, indirectly when reversed over by a safety vehicle involved in the clear up.
