For the original version of this category, see Category:The original. A sequel is when you reuse and rehash the same characters over and over and over again in order to make more money off of a film and to establish a series of films or books or video games or films, or whatever else you think deserves a sequel. Some entities are over-sequelled, such as horror movies and Nickelodeon shows and pop songs and rap songs and American Idol. Sequels usually lack the quality of the original, by law.
