- I had assumed that the white space was intentional, as to create an effect that the hard-boiled detective is walking away from the (text of) the article into the shadows, stubbing his fag in the process. ---kun "whisper sweet nothings into thine ear..." 14:56, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
- When the issue/artistic accident was first pointed out to me, I thought about that effect but I must say I was a little nervous about getting too nutty with the images and tried to keep it "inside the box". My co-author didn't like the extra cigs either.-- 17:25, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
