Pie Chart[edit]

i'm thinking of adding one more image (of a funny venn diagram?) and extending the last section (which angle should i take?). SirGerrycheeversGunTalk 19:09, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

PEE REVIEW IN PROGRESS

Hyperbole is engaged in the dual processes
of giving you his opinion and pretending you care.
Humour: 8.5 Wow, three weeks. How's that for a quick Pee review? Sorry about that.

Here we go.

  • Lede: Funny. "Pie charts are actually pie" is kind of an obvious joke but it's told really well here and it makes me laugh.
  • History: Shocking - an actual use of Wilde that's reasonably appropriate. 1950s hipsters being "cool" with pie charts is fairly hilarious.
  • Varieties and Usage: All very good. I'd probably put something in that makes it clear that exploding pie charts are real (that's when the "slices" pop up, right? and not just a random thing the author came up with, like "pies that explode."
  • Controversy: Kind of weak. And that's a disappointment. This has been a really strong article; I'd like it to end strong. Come up with a conclusion, maybe stick in a "See Also"
Concept: 10 There's no "high concept" here - just a bunch of good, clever jokes about pie charts. I can't complain.
Prose and formatting: 10 The prose is great, and the formatting looks perfect at my resolution - which is high enough that articles with too high a picture-to-text ratio often experience problems.
Images: 10 Hilarious. I don't get the sense they're original Uncyclopedia material, but theft is the heart of comedy.
Miscellaneous: 4 4, because it doesn't end well.
Final Score: 42.5 Fix the ending and put it on VFH. I'd vote for it. Thanks for writing it! Oh, and to answer your questions: it doesn't need a picture of a Venn Diagram. I think that would just look like filler. And: a reasonably short one-paragraph conclusion with a "See Also" would be just fine, but I don't have any immediate ideas about the contents of that conclusion.
