I actually... bizarrely like this page. It's difficult to handle such a touchy subject but I think it was pulled off excellently. Though I'll never claim to have laughed at WWI, this article has an excellent take on the war, which was, by all definitions, trite and ridiculous. Kudos to the writers. 90.193.182.125 09:57, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

This is a really, really funny page

A+

Believe it or not, this is also a FA on the Wikipedia. Are there any other articles which are featured on both? i'd like to make a list. I'm kind of obsessive on lists. -Tritefantastic 01:38, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

Shouldn't we add this picture, to prove that Wiki is copying us? screenshot1.jpg

I agree with France's position[edit]

I always knew France was a lagging force with no real purpose. But comedic relief is a good term for those militarily retarded Frenchies.

Actually, France was the leading allied force throughout the war, which explains why the most famous generals of the war happen to be French (Marshal Foch, Marshal d'Espèrey...). The French army was considered "invincible" after it, hence the surprise of their quick defeat in WW2, which today apparently shocks Americans more than anyone else, seeing how obsessed they are about it, mentioning it each time they hear the word "French" like WW2 is the only notable historic event. Americans seem to be very confused between WW1 and WW2. If you want to poke fun of a country which was constantly getting its ass kicked during WW1, look no further than Russia, Austro-Hungary, and of course, the Ottoman Empire... Thought you should know..

Just Like to say...[edit]

I think the article is quite humerous but the bit about it being a prequel makes no sense, especially if you read the WWII THE MOVIE article, that claims it is a sequel to this. I think this article should be more in sync with the WWII article but apart from that I like it quite a lot. I also agree with the above comments...
