Too bad the wiki software only lets one redirect at a time, else it would really be infinite recursion. Oh, bugger.

Too bad the Infinite recursion that admin seems to prefer isn't as good as the other. Oh, bugger.

The point being: It didn't work the first time, it ain't gonna work the second time (or 3rd, or 4th, etc). --DW III CUN.pngOUN.png 02:13, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
The point being: It's not perfectly INFINITE, but whatever. You're higher authority. *shrugs* --Delf 18:07, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
You're right. Maybe this should be switched with recursion. --Sbluen 18:09, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
Strikes me as more appropriate, really. --Delf 16:42, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
Doesn't strike them as more appropriate, obviously. --Delf 12:36, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

I have another idea. You can use templates inside of templates for real recursion. Here is an example.

{{:User:Sbluen/sandbox2|1={{:User:Sbluen/sandbox2|1={{:User:Sbluen/sandbox2}}}}}}

Yeah, that appears to work. Will try it, thanks. --DW III CUN.pngOUN.png 03:28, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
Ok, I used <noinclude> and <includeonly> to do it in one page with no template. Messier but cleanier. ^_^. --Splaka 05:44, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
It works well, except for the extra category box at the bottom.
Now if there was some way to implement relative font sizes and padding dimensions (which I tried and failed), we could fit more by way of progressively-smaller instances. --DW III CUN.pngOUN.png 17:07, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
I tried to make real recursion so that the template can be included with decreasing numbers, but it also didn't work. When I substituted the template, I got the error <!-- WARNING: template loop detected -->.
If you want to use relative font sizes, you can try using <small>{{{1}}}</small>. I don't think it's possible to ge relative paddingdimensions with the software.
And to fix the extra category box, you can use another parameter that shows it only if the parameter is empty. --Sbluen 22:57, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
Splaka, you are good at using templates. When I tried to do it that way, I couldn't get it to stop displaying the source. --Sbluen 05:58, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
Ok, I did something to scale the text. I still can't figure out why there are two category boxes at the bottom. The last one should be inside the border.--Splaka 05:41, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
I did many tests at Uncyclopedia and Wikipedia and I finally found the problem. There is not enough space for the box in the middle. When I removed one recursion, I found that it worked.
I found another problem with the page. At the top, the headers are bolded and then suddenly, they are normal. --Sbluen 07:10, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
That is an aspect of your browser most likely. Certain scaled text is not boldable. --Splaka 05:06, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
Looks great, so far. Should we also insert some rich creamy filling in the very center, or just leave it empty? --DW III CUN.pngOUN.png 05:24, 26 July 2006 (UTC) (Incidentally, the h1 text at the bottommost recursion is not showing up in my browswers (FF & IE) even on highest resolution. --DW III CUN.pngOUN.png 05:36, 26 July 2006 (UTC))
I think someone should place a picture in the centre, so that it actually seems to recur infinitly, naturally make sure it won't look too dissimilar between the main browers
