Talk:Cornish
Good work! Needs photos! Probably needs more than one section. If you are going to put the "encyclopedia article" firmly in the voice of a Welshman, and bicker with the reader to boot, in my opinion this stuff should be in the footnotes. Finally, we are of several minds here, but I am of the mind that "we should not crack wise with the navigation tools." See also should, perhaps with a little mirth, direct the reader to other articles of interest. Your list is so long, including pages that don't exist, that it will attract additions from our worst drive-by writers who can do no better than put a meme on a page and hope it's funny without additional work. - I'll try to dig up photos and do sections. I didn't mean to put the whole article in the voice of a Welshman -- I guess I'll follow your suggestion. Whoops on that.
- What do you mean about the navigation tools? As for leek and Breton, I'm planning on creating those articles; I suppose corn maze and rat poison should be delinked though. I could link 'rat poison' to gay, but that might be stupid. Llwy-ar-lawr (talk) 17:25, March 3, 2013 (UTC)
The typical sparring ground is the Category (at the bottom of a page) that takes up two entire lines of text and doesn't really guide the reader to anything of interest, or stuff like "Category:People who didn't die in 1922". All I was saying is that your See also was needlessly long, but that, if you meant to do it that way, such style differences have a history. Spıke Ѧ 18:17 3-Mar-13
- I just made a halfhearted attempt at sectioning things, probably with lousy titles, and added a silly edited image of leeks. See if anyone likes it.
- So when do I get to move this to main article space? Not to be impatient or anything, but...about how long does it take for it to be ok to move out of userspace? I'd like to see the redlinks to Cornish go away. Llwy-ar-lawr (talk) 03:03, March 9, 2013 (UTC)
- Page has been moved. ❦ Llwy-ar-lawr • talk • contribs • 18:39, March 26, 2013 (UTC)
