I'd like to help resurrect this, but right now it seems the focus is on glorifying older shows and saying the newer ones are crap. Perhaps it could go a different direction? Say, Cartoon Network is the best thing children's TV has to offer right now as the other networks such as Disney and Nick only have really bad sitcoms and badly animated CGI. Your complaint sounds similar to the complaint that landed this article on VFD in the first place. Irritable stated in his last Edit Summary that his edit didn't get all the way through the article. The final product shouldn't read as though it is taking any position, positive or negative, though writers are welcome to lead the reader (by the nose) to either conclusion. Spıke 🎙️18:55 21-Aug-16
