9th boss battle is impossible[edit]
Please help me! My allies Batman and Lavagirl can't fight the 9th boss, after the Dinkster was brutally killed by Anti-Rigby they became depressed (and sexually frustrated).
And all experienced players will know, you NEED Batman and Lavagirl as only they have access to the Gun Cabinet in the basement.
I also tried using 'Auto-Erotic Asphyxiation' on the boss (Spoilers: It's the ghost of James Cameron's half-brother).
Any help (Or cheat codes) would be appreciated. {{HowTo}} Buy the Alone in the Dark DLC

Stuck from the start[edit]
Maybe I'm too stupid for this game, It seems that it's impossible for me to get out from attics, can I have at least some clue or hint please? -web surfer

I'm kinda frustrated right now. I managed to get to the rooftop but I don't know where to go next. There's no indication of anything, and I tried searching for anything that would serve as a means to continue on with the game, but the closest I seem to get is talk about "the moon" and "thick clouds" blocking it, preventing me from seeing anything. Can someone help me out? I'm just a few screens past the second save point.

- Why does everyone keep expecting me to play the game for them? Sheesh! I'm guessing that you have either not tried using all the items that you have available, or you may have missed an item on the way. If you're still stuck, go back to the conservatory and investigate everything thoroughly. Pup 08:28 15 Feb '11

- I don't think people should be giving out the clues and the escapes on the talk page, it's better to play the game and learn on the way rather than using the cheat book. Not to give anything away, but I really got looped on the puppies, figuring that POTR was doing a pun on his name and then realizing that the puppies were a decoy. - It all comes down to reading through all the clues carefully. Of course there is a way out - what kind of sadist would create a game called “Alone in the dark” where all that happens is you end up alone in the dark? PuppyOnTheRadio 06:44, August 22, 2013 (UTC)
Final Boss[edit]

Use the "puppy spray" you found at the doghouse. Immobilizes him for a good 5 minutes. You can then shoot at him with the laser. --Scofield 14:37, March 3, 2011 (UTC)

I have tried practically almost everything run in circles, zig zag, and yet I can not get out of the dark, I dropped the keys, made oragami, but what am I missing? I'm going to steal the premise of this game and make a book out of it. Actually, I'm already halfway complete.
