This merits broadcasting: Several Uncyclopedians have told me that they are falsely recorded as having uploaded media. The only reply I have been able to give is that the log and the media file agree that you did upload it--though on occasions, it seems that the referencing page has referenced the medium since long before it was uploaded. On 17-Jun, dozens of uploads were made in short order, attributed to many different Uncyclopedians, including a few who are no longer here and are no longer anywhere.

It appears that a Wikia 'bot is acquiring videos and substituting them for <youtube> tags in Uncyclopedia articles, in the interest of higher throughput. As with the forged New User Welcomes, the 'bot helpfully attributes its work to the editor who originally embedded the tag in the article. Anyone who wants to disable this content can put the following line in his .js file:

var displayFlashOverride = false;

I am still against the notion that our purpose is to catalog funny videos that someone else made, even if they no longer involve directing Wikia traffic away from Wikia. Creative comedy writing is tougher than TV-watching, but we should step up to it. Spıke Ѧ 13:20, 13:59 18-Jun-13

A bot? A coding thing? Damn, I thought it was a miracle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh well. Aleister 14:53 18-6-'13
This must be what's happening on another wiki upon which I am a bureaucrat. I just saw today that a lot of people, including the guy I replaced and who hasn't contributed since 2011, were suddenly uploading a large amount of videos. If this is the work of it Wikia bot, it kind of ticks me off.◄► Tephra ◄► 19:23, June 18, 2013 (UTC)
Its ticking me off for a different reason. Its clogging up the recent changes. I know that I can disable logs, but I need to use some logs to welcome users, or something. So asking wikia staff or something might help. --The Shield of Azunai DSA510My Edits! 22:26, June 18, 2013 (UTC)

I don't mind Wikia bringing content on-site nor editing pages if it intends not to change content but to achieve faster rendering. I do mind the falsifications in the logs, and again, I spoke out about this on the phantom welcomes of new users and Wikia made an exception for Uncyclopedia. Denza, I don't think your performance as a welcomer is a consideration the company will put above the servers' performance as servers, and I won't bother them with that claim. You should no more pore over RecentChanges looking for users to welcome than you should gaze at the bottom of the television until Atari stock scrolls past on CNBC to find out how much your share is worth. Instead, ask for exactly what you want: Users with zero-length talk pages. Spıke Ѧ 23:08 18-Jun-13

Patrolling Recent Changes is more effective in finding vandalism than it is in finding users with blank talk pages. Check the user creation log for users with blank talk pages to welcome. Recent Changes will tell you when the user creation log has changed though. As to the bot clogging up Recent Changes, hopefully this is only a temporary thing given the above information, and once all the imbedded videos have been uploaded there won't be so many bot changes.-- Simsilikesims(♀GUN) Talk here. 02:16, June 19, 2013 (UTC)
True, I also patrol the pages with recent changes, not just welcome users. I think its over now... no new vids as far as I know. (Atari still has a stock thing? This is news to me!) --The Shield of Azunai DSA510My Edits! 02:20, June 19, 2013 (UTC)
