Forum:The Great Redirect Exodus: The Revenge
So Lyrithya told me she's planning to delete a lot of redirects to make room for red links and asked me to make a forum about it. So... Which redirects do you think should be kept and which ones would you really like to see go down the drain? While you make up your mind, by all means, don't pay any attention to the cute little bunny eating away at your sanity.

- Just check your IRC logs, Lyrithya. It's in there somewhere.
- They're like... fish.

- Kill the broken redirects. Leave the unbroken ones. Done. – Sir Skullthumper, MD (criticize • writings • SU&W) 11:09 Jul 02, 2011
- Um, the broken ones are pretty much a given. This forum is about the regular ones. 11:13, 2 July 2011
It's redirects like Flower that I mean - subjects that really should have articles on them, but people see them as red links and think, oh, that shouldn't be a red link, and redirect them. But that just makes them even less likely to wind up with actual articles, you know?

- But without those people might not find decent if only tangentially related articles, in particular people who read the wiki via searching for subjects or via bluelinks. I don't know what the solution is, cuz I see your point, but I also see the opposite point, and bleh. Maybe I can conjure up a version of Special:Wantedpages that's redirects-only, although to do so would be rather tricky. – Sir Skullthumper, MD (criticize • writings • SU&W) 07:22 Jul 03, 2011

- It'd be nice if UN:REQ didn't crash my computer.
- Perhaps breaking UN:REQ into subpages might be advisable... >.<
