Forum:Scientific explanation for a twisted fetish
You guys, I have a confession to make. I have a thing for sexy female antagonists. You know, the kind that barge in with catsuits on and massacre a whole room full of people with a smile on their face. And the more cold and ruthless the smile of said female antagonist is, the more I'm turned on.
So that got me thinking- how could I possibly be attracted to someone who-despite being really hot-does such horrible things? Why would I ever fantasize about a sexy chick who would have shot me without batting an eyelid had I been in the same film as her?
Then all the talk I'd heard about evolution and the struggle for survival came back to me. You see, being turned on basically means an increased desire to have sex. And as we know, sex is a reproductive process. Therefore, when the survival of an individual is threatened, he'd feel the need to copulate in order to pass on his seed.
Now, if I was in a twisted situation where an attractive woman who's dressed to kill is about to...well, kill me, I'd want to fuck her first. Fuck her so that she gets pregnant with my child, and so that she can protect my baby because...well, she's a trained killer, she can damn well protect anything if she wants to! Of course, that's actually never gonna happen, but my brain is wired that way, I can't help it!
Sometimes our survival instincts turn us on in the most fucked up ways. --Scofield & 1337 16:57, October 22, 2011 (UTC)
- It doesn't quite work that way, though. If you got turned on by being in a life-threatening situation and it had some evolutionary cause, it'd be because having a rock-hard dick would somehow help you survive that situation (i.e. the killer babe is so repulsed by your penis that she has a heart attack and dies, or she finds it so alluring that she decides to have your babies). 17:14, 22 October 2011
Maybe, just maybe, this is not really a fetish... of course you want her to be the antagonist, but only so as to appeal to your fantasy, thereby fulfilling the erotic idenitifcation with the female protagonist. Most fantasy is actually pretty narcissistic, and if one thing is a 'twisted' one, then most fantasy is is twisted. I have a feeling this female Protagonist says more about your own desire to fulfill a ruthless and seductive role.--Sycamore (Talk) 20:55, October 22, 2011 (UTC)
- Sure, but why does he think he's AndyRooneyman? Is it because he got bit by a radioactive Andy Rooney? Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 04:08, October 23, 2011 (UTC)
- Taking sycamores idea of narcissistcism a little further...it seems clear that this devious woman fetish is a real internal phenomenon rather than a conceptual one. You are both you...scofield...and the antagonist female. Not recognising or admitting the woman inside you, the lush smoking hot naughty chick you could be...you transfer this woman into a fake reality...being that woman you lust for...when in reality that woman doesn't exist. It is your ego overpowering your id. By longing for a non-existing person, you are simply denying far more deeply who and what you are. What is ironically absurd...is that what you are lusting for is yourself. You have to learn to love the whole you...that evil woman that you are...deep down inside. You will never be happy unless you do. --ShabiDOO 04:19, October 23, 2011 (UTC)
Two Solutions
1)Join the "Dark Side". Evil chicks like men with powers of darkness. 2) Join the "I Don't Care I Just Want to Blow Shit Up Side", the side I'm part of. And trust me, I get girls all the time by being on this side.--- 04:20, October 23, 2011 (UTC)
