Clicking on the preferences option in the upper-right corner will bring you to a page claiming that you are not logged in. The background on this page is also that of a the older theme of Uncyclopedia and the text reads: "You must be logged in to set user preferences. Return to main page." Why is it like that? Is it caused because no one remembered to update it, or is it just doing that? Help?

Last night and this morning, I tried My preferences in order to give Wiki yam help with a signature experiment he did, and got the venerable "database is locked" error. With luck, Wikia is trying to fix the problem you guys have noted. Spıke Ѧ 12:31 6-Feb-15

George Marbulcanti of Wikia replies, "Thank you for bringing this to our attention - I have been able to reproduce the issue, and I am flagging it straight up to the technical team. Hopefully it will be a simple fix - it looks like something may have had an unexpected effect in the weekly release update." Spıke Ѧ 16:09 6-Feb-15

PS--As of last night, I once again had access to My preferences, though the malfunction I saw had not been the one that Wiki yam saw. Is this issue closed (until the next time it breaks)? Spıke Ѧ 16:25 12-Feb-15

George reports that Wikia believes it has solved this problem: "The fix went live early yesterday. There's a quick note about it here: http://community.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Kirkburn/Technical_Update:_February_10,_2015#comm-796472

"The cause was related to a conflict within the user preference code - because of Uncyc having a slightly different setup to the rest of Wikia, a tweak to the main site had this unexpected effect.
