Forum:Now I'm Going To Kick Up A Shitstorm
I'll keep this brief, I don't agree with what Wikia has done, but I'm not having wanton fucking vandalism, at all. So we'll have less of this fucking asshattery shall we? This was found while browsing 4Chan's /g/ this morning. Oct 24, 07:02
- I know! we'll show wikia by burning down our own house... those bastards will have to listen then! -- 08:43, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, whoever did this has the smarts of a bowl of parrot droppings. We already had a lovely reskin and we have the power to create parody and biting satire. What could be better? ----OEJ 13:57, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- If I find out who posted that, from our user registry, I will be gracious and provide an infinite ban, as a gift of gratitude. --Nytrospawn 15:31, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

So, the purpose of making this public was...
...to kick up more drama and make yourself look like an hero? Awesome job Bonner. – Sir Skullthumper, MD (criticize • writings • SU&W) 15:33 Oct 24, 2008
- I've heard of this "drama" thing that you mention, but..."hero"? What the hell? "Obese nerd", I could understand. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 16:21, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- Slightly uncalled for wasn't it DrSkullthumper? I'll meet that with a resounding "Fuck you"
- You two are like The Odd Couple. By that, I mean that I know neither of you at all. At all. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 16:50, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks. While User:Vampiregirl obviously made a mistake, wouldn't it have been - I don't know - more reasonable to talk to her personally about it instead of making a public forum simply for her embarrassment? I don't know why this wasn't deleted on sight. – Sir Skullthumper, MD (criticize • writings • SU&W) 17:13 Oct 26, 2008
- You're actually attacking Bonner by saying he didn't act discretely? Nice one. ⇔ Sir Mon€¥$ignSTFU F@H|NS|+S 17:20, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
- I don't see why he shouldn't have. What was the point in dragging it out in the open first? It makes him look good and Vampiregirl look worse than she is. It was a honest mistake, yet you just had to make it public. You could have just emailed an admin, drawn it to their attention... come on IRC, PM'd people... instead, you had to take a screenshot and create a forum that has the word "Shit Storm" in it, because you're so damn right. – Sir Skullthumper, MD (criticize • writings • SU&W) 17:25 Oct 26, 2008
- Well, personally... I don't think Bonner's uber-awesome for making this post... But I do think Vampiregirl's a mega-tard for what she did... So it's not so much to glorify himself as it is to make an example of Vampiregirl. ⇔ Sir Mon€¥$ignSTFU F@H|NS|+S 17:33, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
- And calling what she did a "mistake" is the understatement of the year. ~ 18:09, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
- It's still better than your haircut. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 19:47, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
- What haircut? ~ 19:53, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
- Oh. That's natural? Man, I forgot just how ugly nature can be. It's like watching an elephant birth. Close up. With hair. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 19:57, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

- Of course it was a mistake. Were you around when all this crap was happening? The site was turning to shit, people were unprotecting pages and everything, because there was a school of thought going on that we should protest Wikia in that way. As it turns out, that was a stupid idea, yes. But she got banned for merely going with the flow and trying to help. Also, we ban people indefinitely now just for making a mistake, just for not understanding the full situation? I don't think any of you are being very fair. If someone had just explained the situation to her instead of all this public humiliation going on, none of this would have happened. I know the user in question personally, and I'd like to say straight out she's a fantastic person who would never have done anything wrong intentionally.
- She just made a single mistake, and I wish that you all would see that. She's never vandalized the site herself (except during that mass vandalism night just recently), she hasn't caused any flamewars or made any bad edits... can't you see this for what it is? One person a victim of going along with what it looked like the majority was doing? For fuck's sake people, stop being such pretentious assholes who think they can judge a user by one act. – Sir Skullthumper, MD (criticize • writings • SU&W) 00:22 Oct 27, 2008
- I'm gonna go with Skullthumper on this one. What Vampiregirl did was definitely wrong, but so was, say, unblocking the Main Page and such. She saw what everyone else was doing and joined in. People make mistakes. However, if such an incident should occur again, go, infiniban. But I, for one, approve of giving people a second chance. --Mr. Monkey Pant-hoot here. 00:26, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
- Oh yeah, and by the way - don't you dare fucking call my cousin a "mega-tard" somewhere I might read it. – Sir Skullthumper, MD (criticize • writings • SU&W) 00:27 Oct 27, 2008
- I'm not sure who that was directed to, but I'm scared. --Mr. Monkey Pant-hoot here. 00:29, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

- Slightly uncalled for wasn't it DrSkullthumper? I'll meet that with a resounding "Fuck you"
- Also, Dr S misused the term 'an hero.' I'm pretty sure it means to off yourself. Of course, I could be wrong. - P.M., WotM, & GUN, Sir Led Balloon (Tick Tock) (Contribs) 23:02, Oct 26
She really doesn't deserve any of this at all. It was all a misunderstanding, and I wish that everyone would stop being one-sided about the issue, and just understand that... I really do... – Sir Skullthumper, MD (criticize • writings • SU&W) 00:24 Oct 27, 2008
- Observation: This is why you don't namefag. I am, however, for forgiveness. --monika 02:47, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
- Second observation. She's your cousin? Figures why you're so defensive. I suppose i'll clarify a few things. I never posted this to glorify myself, I posted this to make an example of her, and to also try and let others know, who might do the same thing, that it was a bad idea. As for the infiniban, I stand by the decision of the admin that made it. I understand why she did it, and how easy it is to get caught in the moment, but sometimes we all have to exercise a little common sense
- Third observation: What are you doing on 4chan if you are 16? --monika 15:47, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
- 4chan users (I loathe to say /b/tards, since I know not everyone goes on /b/) know as well as anyone else that nobody cares about age rules on the internet, and by extension their age rules. Sad truth, but it's rather odd that you think people are going to listen. --Asema (can't we resolve this?) 15:55, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
- Fourth observation. Firstly; I like how you checked my age, secondly; Underage b&, thirdly; I lurk, I don't post.
- Your use of semicolons pains me. --monika 16:47, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

Since there seems to be some level of drama here, and I'd like to end it. The drama, I mean. Not here. That would be silly
Petition to unban Vampiregirl or keep her banned, depending on who votes what
- Jesus fuck, people. You pick one of n fucking people who were vandalizing the site that night, and ban them instead of, I don't know, the bloke that unblocked the main page? --Asema (can't we resolve this?) 03:09, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
- For banning Manticore. And also for doing silly dances. Also, against deopping Zombiebaron. Not that that's a current issue, but I feel it's important to let my opinion be heard. Ж Kalir, Crazy Indie Gamer (missile ponies for everyone!) 03:16, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

- Meh, these are strange times, people do strange things. I say we let it go, as long as she promises not to do it again. - P.M., WotM, & GUN, Sir Led Balloon (Tick Tock) (Contribs) 05:24, Oct 27

- I have not been laid in five months. It turns out that the Internet is an extremely bad place to look for women. Nothing will ever compare with the time-tested method of drinking heavily and stumbling out into the town. 22:34, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

Uh?
People make mistakes and, unless they prove themselves to be an inherent asshole intent on hurting people, there is absolutely no need for everyone and their dog to dump on them with criticism. Yes it was wrong to do and she should receive a warning, but going out and parading around the mistake is hardly going to help anyone and may potentially make people leave the site. -- 07:01, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
