I just modified the Folding @ Home template to show:

Protein.GIF This user did not join the Folding@home Team, because he/she feels 100% CPU usage will melt their computer.

This is for those people (like me) who are too lazy to download the program.

Comments? Message me.

Stop being lazy and start folding; all the cool kids are doing it. --Sir gwax (talk) Signuke.gif 12:47, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Surely it should be "...has something better to do..."? --Strange.PNG (but) Untrue  Whhhy?Whut? How? *Back from the dead* 14:24, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

I made 142 pink paper swans at my place. They told me it was good for sick people. It would make them better. So I went to the hospital but they told me to fuck off. I find folding at home a waste of my time and can not, for the life of me, see how it would be beneficial to sick people. --Vosnul 17:22, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
It helps eggheads figure out stuff about molecules and crap. If we do it for them, they don't have to get off their lazy asses. BTW, my Mcafee blocks it for some reason, so I can't do it, but if I could......think of the possibilities......P.M., WotM, & GUN, Sir Led Balloon Baloon.gif(Tick Tock) (Contribs) 18:47, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
At what point did you take my post seriously ? And who are you calling an egghead ? --Vosnul 18:54, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

I apologize if you misunderstood me. I was calling YOU an egghead! Stupid smarty-pants!! Actually, I was referring to the mindless drones that take the F@H.....stuff.....that your regular computer makes, and put it into the big.....sciencey.....computer.....thing. I think they're called bio-chemo-technical-engineer-ician-ists. P.M., WotM, & GUN, Sir Led Balloon Baloon.gif(Tick Tock) (Contribs) 03:54, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

Still No Clue

as to what this folding business is all about. Lots of people do it, yet I don't even think the creators of the project know what the hell its is.. --THINKER 18:57, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

They're really trying to figure out how to transform Transformers. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 19:37, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

I'm curious as to how my computer can fold proteins thousands of miles away from Stanford through an internet connection, but oh well. I'm gullible. --Hotadmin4u69 [TALK] 21:40, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
It is what Einstein called "Spooky action at a distance". Now Einstein himself was not very fond on this notion and did, therefor, probably not participate in the folding @home program. --Vosnul 22:03, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
Plus his computer didn't have enough RAM. Or a fast enough CPU. Or a CPU. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 01:51, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

Yes. Thank you. ;) --THINKER 06:33, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

I Survived Folding@Home

I had an issue with Folding@Home, which fortunately precluded me from participation. The program ended up dumping nearly 30 gigabytes of data on my computer, which required an uninstall. Thankfully, none of the data was collected, thus hindering their efforts at finding a cure. Thus completes the circle of life --Nytrospawn 22:50, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

Ah, that's the bug where your computer accidentally solves the meaning of life. They're working on stopping that from happening soon though. Just delete all 42 files in the "Eureka" directory and restart. --Strange.PNG (but) Untrue  Whhhy?Whut? How? *Back from the dead* 23:26, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
Wow. Just when I thought that it couldn't get any nerdier in here. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc!
I'm sorry I even read that. It was an enormous waste of my time. I refer, of course, to Modusoperandi's response, which (in addition to being charmingly irreverent) was again off topic! I should really start learning to expect this kinda stuff.-Sir Ljlego, GUN VFH FIYC WotM SG WHotM PWotM AotM EGAEDM ANotM + (Talk) 16:17, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
Hi, I'm Modusoperandi. I don't think we've met before. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 16:25, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
Hello, Sir Modusoperandi. My name is Ljlego. I've seen you about. I believe we perhaps had a conversation once on your talk page. I think I've seen you post things other than non-sequiturs on the forum occasionally. Obviously, this was not one of these times. I really need to get a life.-Sir Ljlego, GUN VFH FIYC WotM SG WHotM PWotM AotM EGAEDM ANotM + (Talk) 16:34, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
We all do. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 16:42, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
Perhaps we should all get lives at the same time, and render this site obsolete as is. Then again, what could BENSON rule if we just up and left? I suppose we have to stay...Sir Ljlego, GUN VFH FIYC WotM SG WHotM PWotM AotM EGAEDM ANotM + (Talk) 16:49, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
Well then, BENSON couldn't do anything if he's not looking at you'll when you'll sneak out of the building. --Maharaja Hdgcfcf | Icons-flag-in.png | User Page | Talk | Go Kill Yourself 18:07, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
