Is Talk:Incompleteness Theorem a practical joke? everytime i try to load it, my browser hangs up and i have to shut down IE. i tried it a couple of times yesterday -- same result. i ran anti spyware/adware/virus checks, downloaded latest updates from the microsoft site, rebooted and tried again today -- same result. i typed this in my browser's address box to see the code and couldn't recognize any "infinite loop" code (if there is one) except Ghelae, DiZ and others STFUing each other. does it hang intentionally or is it a problem only i am experiencing? spooky, to say the least. -- mowgli 08:18, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

It's just you, or IE - David Gerard 10:42, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
hmm. maybe it's time for firefox. -- mowgli 11:06, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
I tested it with IE 6.0 SP2 on XP Pro SP2 and had no problems. It does right-shift the conversation over and off of the page, so maybe that is causing problems? Firefox works fine with it as well. Maybe you got pwn3d by an unknown malware that hasn't been discovered yet by the AV software? --2nd_Lt Orion Blastar (talk) 13:58, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
Works all right with IE7. Freemorpheme.gif 16:50, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
yes, i'm now convinced that i have a bug (but it took the "incompleteness theorem" to convince me, wunderphul!). my comp's been hanging on other occasions too and the LAN connection with my kid's pc shows exchange of data even when his laptpop is switched off. i need an expert. sorry for cluttering the dump (?) with a pp (personal problem). -- mowgli 17:26, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
Update all your AV software and hit F8 when it says "Starting Windows..." to get a menu to take you into Safe Mode. Then scan for malware in safe mode. Sometimes safe mode disables the malware. If you are infected with something nasty, it is patching your AV software to avoid detecting it. Trust me, I am a geek and too white and nerdy, I fix computers for family members and friends who should have gone and bought a Macintosh or used Linux instead. Also run MSCONFIG from the Run option on the Start menu and disable some of the items on startup, because they could be malware as well. Good luck, hope you don't stay pwn3d for long. --2nd_Lt Orion Blastar (talk) 02:54, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

Orion, i followed your advice, including disabling some apps. in MSCONFIG. most of my problems seemed resolved and it was time to test Talk:Incompleteness Theorem. i did and my browser window got hung (IE 6.0 SP2). other windows, simultaneously open, still functioned. i had to forcibly end the "not responding" window. i played around with the code in it 'cos i was sure by now that either you all were still kidding me or something was wrong in my settings. well, i found out that the page does hang! most of you using IE6 use the following setting: "View-->Text Size-->Medium" or less. Mine was set to "View-->Text Size-->Larger." The page WILL hang in this setting or a higher size. try it. :) this is the section replete with indented templates that makes it hang. i wonder if IE 7.0 users face this problem. if they do, then Microsoft desperately needs to talk to either Kürt Gödël or Ghelae. -- mowgli 08:45, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
