Doc Martin is a British TV series based in Port When?, Cornwall, England — although Cornwall has its own government. Enough of that shit! screams Martin Clueless, actual name Martin Clunes. Shit is his favourite word in the whole TV series.

Life before Cornwall

Doc Martin Isaac — his surname was used by his family from the real life town of Port Isaac — developed a fear of blood after slashing his finger off performing a surgery once, with blood and guts everywhere. The surgeons successfully sewed his finger permanently back on but Martin developed PTSD after that incident and refused to go to work, instead drinking heavily. He eventually saw a therapist to overcome his PTSD and alcoholism a few months before airing.

Season 1 2004

• 10/10/2004 The Doctor Is In The House: Martin, a freshman in Port When, arrives safely from London. He signs up for the GP job fighting with another man who also wants the job apparently the man has better social skills and memory than Martin. Pissed off that the man has the job, Martin and the man get into an argument. But when Martin accidentally shoves the man against the desk smacking his head unconscious, he has to save him.

• 16/10/2004 The Autism Syndrome: Martin is eventually diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder after failing to socialize with his patients properly. His boss fires him and Martin wants serious revenge. But when his manager catches Ebola after a trip to Africa, Martin must save him.... Meanwhile all the locals know that Martin has autism and wants him removed from the village.

• 23/10/2004 The Port When Kidnapping: Martin is a hero in the local newspaper when he saves his boss. The boss re-hires Martin on a permanent basis. Unfortunately, a robbery takes place overnight when the boss is away. The boss gets kidnapped when he is drinking in the pub. Martin hunts the attackers down but he gets kidnapped! Will Louisa, his girlfriend save him?

• 30/10/2004 Bloody Hell Martin It's Only A Bit Of Blood! Part 1: After being saved by police because Louisa was too fucked in the nightclub, Martin goes to the surgery to cover for his boss who got attacked by the robbers. On Halloween, the town play pranks on him including blood on fake dummies, one child with a fake bloody injury on his arm and of course the famous banana skin prank when somebody smashes their leg on the pavement with blood. But when Louisa falls down the stairs and has her head cracked open, Martin has to save her and confront his fear of blood. But he cannot stop himself from throwing up and feeling nauseous. NOTE this is the 2004 Halloween special.

• 31/10/2004 Bloody Hell Martin It's Only A Bit Of Blood! Part 2: Louisa is furious with Martin for not saving her life as requested. Martin explains his fear of blood to her after his finger accident in London. As revenge, Louisa cuts her arm open and makes Martin lick all the blood and then drink it. Martin then beats her unconscious and gets arrested by police.....

• 07/11/2004 The Police VS Martin Isaac: In the police station, Martin is questioned by Cornwall and Devon police. He explains that Louisa played a dangerous prank on him. Louisa's side of the story is Martin beating her unconscious. Louisa then recovers at home while Martin is charged and jailed for 6 months.
