Shall I compare you to a summer’s day?
Nah, I will not. Instead I will compare
You to a bunch of things that lovers say.
- (Break up with me, I hope you do not dare.)
Your smile is just like Jack the Ripper’s smile,
Right after putting one out of misery.
I’d like to stare at your face for a while.
- (Mind you, it’s not nearly as hot as me.)
You’re beautiful as a lovely sunset,
Whilst blocked from view by some dumb skyscraper.
You’re the sweetest girl I have ever met.
- (And that’s not saying much, ‘cause I’m a nerd.)
I’m an awesome poet, right? Gotta leave,
But this is how I love you, babe.
