Now that I think about it, Uncyc is just English class with more humour. MyOwnBadSelf (talk) 23:54, April 18, 2017 (UTC)

We do teach each other a lot of stuff (and not just the Uncyclopedia:Proofreading Service) and I learn an awful lot researching articles. Spıke 🎙️23:58 18-Apr-17
Like, about Linkin Park? I hope you'll be inspired to listen to their music. They changed my life. MyOwnBadSelf (talk) 23:59, April 18, 2017 (UTC)

Yes changed mine, or maybe just affirmed it. Spıke 🎙️00:04 19-Apr-17

I enjoy Yes music as well. Although the 'to be continued' meme makes it a slightly worrying thing to tell everyone. MyOwnBadSelf (talk) 00:06, April 19, 2017 (UTC)

I enjoyed Yes's experimentation with music itself: harmony, melody, key signature, and rhythm. Anderson's lyrics are gibberish. I don't understand the "to be continued" reference. Spıke 🎙️00:17 19-Apr-17

Irony[edit]

I just realised, this is an ironic song to parody, because the original song features Stormzy, a rapper from London who is (we can assume) quite progressive, so having him in a 'Leave the EU' song would be silly. MyOwnBadSelf (talk) 00:04, April 19, 2017 (UTC)

  1. Politics makes strange bedfellows, and strange bedfellows can become good comedy.
  2. Most readers, even fans of the band, might not know the political persuasion of band members (you might not even be right). If you are, though, Stormzy's reaction to May's "cover" of his hit might be an excellent finale for your article. Spıke 🎙️00:17 19-Apr-17
I guess so. Do you think I overdid it slightly? Remember, this is only my second article (first being Vaporwave). MyOwnBadSelf (talk) 00:18, April 19, 2017 (UTC)
I can't make that call. When I am not familiar with the basis of a comedy article, I only weigh whether the article is comedy and has a basis. Full appreciation of your article requires the reader to have listened to the song, and I never have. I did undo your intro, essentially, "Everybody, the following is a SONG PARODY!" even though I did ask you to spell it out. This overtly was "explaining the joke," which usually kills it. Spıke 🎙️00:25 19-Apr-17
Yeah, I suppose so. If you wanted to listen to the song, then go ahead. I'm not so good at this, but I'm happy that this will be in the UnNews section. MyOwnBadSelf (talk) 00:27, April 19, 2017 (UTC)

Your finale[edit]

Does not work. A real news article states what is happening, at the date and in the location presented in the "dateline." For a news article to say what happened one day later is not "news" but fanfiction. Good underlying joke, but needs to be framed differently, and not in the future. Spıke 🎙️00:29 19-Apr-17

I have no clue what else to write. MyOwnBadSelf (talk) 00:30, April 19, 2017 (UTC)

I've tried to restyle your joke into the frame of the reporter. (Referring to "this reporter" should be avoided, but it beats the first person, or "we at UnNews.") Spıke 🎙️00:41 19-Apr-17

I suppose so, because this is not written from my IRL perspective. MyOwnBadSelf (talk) 00:42, April 19, 2017 (UTC)

Nothing here should be; the cover is a "real encyclopedia," "real news service," and so on. Spıke 🎙️00:47 19-Apr-17

I would just imagine this is Wikipedia, except with more jokes. MyOwnBadSelf (talk) 00:49, April 19, 2017 (UTC)

The key is to resemble it. That is the biggest joke of all. Spıke 🎙️00:51 19-Apr-17
