Not funny. Even for uncyclopedia, this crosses the line. Steve Irwin was loved by millions, and will be dearly missed. not funny!

This is not funny at all...Steve Irwin was a great guy who did so much for animals and his nation on the world stage. Writin junk about him so close to his death is so disrespectful. This is the most mournin i've seen from so many people about a death of a person...he was an iconic figure who should deserve respect--and this can be forwarded to his family.--202.7.166.167 12:01, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

Could be funnier...but not for the reasons stated above

from what i saw of steve irwin, he had a good character aand a good sence of humour...so as long as its kept resonably tastefull...i really see nothing wrong with it in that respect, however, the article itself really just isnt that funny.--Danvan 05:42, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

Censorship is terrible!

I had the best laugh in weeks when i read the first version of this article. That one about the guy sticking fingers in crocodiles and lately in angels. Such humour is not accesible to all. U must consider that some people actually love this kind of jokes and if you ban it, there will be sad consequences, such as making this website a dull one, which at least I would regret very much. Keep in mind that freedom of speech is legal in most countries. And imagine South Park without dirty language, black humour and Kenny dying. Just a couple of things: Kenny is not real, and he dies pretty much in every episode for your (sick) enjoyment. Irwin was real, and he died in a real accident for something you wouldn't want to happen on yourself. I must disagree with Spang as regard real complaints in this wiki, because it is obvious that we have got at least one right in the middle of this page. Besides, this wiki is not public property, and it is not meant to promote freedom of information. I may even get banned for just commenting here - no kidding! If you think censorship is bad, then consider this wiki as one big, bad joke.

I don't get why everybody is so upset

Look, he's the friggin' crock hunter. You can only roll the dice with dangerous critters so long, you know? He knew every day of his life what he was getting into. Second, I didn't hear this many people talking when Katrina was tearing up Orleans, or when Mr Rodgers died. Seriously, what's the big deal? It's not like we didn't see it coming. I feel bad for his family and all, but really, the guy had a great life. He lived the way he wanted to live, and he went (arguably) the way he wanted to go. I say joke away and quit being so gosh durn sensitive. Besides, if you told Mr. Irwin how he was going to die, I'm sure he'd get a good laugh out of it himself, so why can't we?
