This is insensitive and should be removed. Save the jokes and puns for a more deserving (un)news story. This is no laughing matter, and I think there should be no humorous articles about this incident. A serious, non-funny, respectful article would be fine, though. Thank you. - I don't see why. Every day we have articles about war and other current events wherein people die. We have tons of articles on previous wars, the Holocaust, and other genocidal such things. I don't know why it's only when somebody goes berserk and shoots someone in the confines of a normal and familiar environment that people get uppity about how offensive it is to write about it, but I can't see any difference between writing about this and writing about any other event wherein somebody dies. -RAHB 00:49, July 22, 2012 (UTC)
- RAHB got that right. When thousands of Iraqi die under bombs, everybody watches it on CNN and laugh it off like it's a 4th of July firework, but when a loon cracks and kills people in the privileged, "civilized" world, people get offended. Double measure. Mattsnow 00:54, July 22, 2012 (UTC)
- Great article. I personally hate how much self-righteousness people get about massacres such as this, especially celebrities. The condolences seem so obligatory these days that they're meaningless. --Hotadmin4u69 [TALK] 02:00 Jul 22 2012
- My two cents: The major difference is that war doesn't create an individual hero/villain. These create an anti-hero character. While I have no issue with an article on the story, I'd prefer he remains unnamed. • Puppy's talk page • 03:22 22 Jul
