That type of hat is referred to as a "picture hat". The term originated around 1887 a it was the type of hat commonly worn by ladies when have portraiture done. Just a random fact I thought I'd throw into the mix. Pup 12:31 05 Jan '12
- I actually found that interesting. Seriously, for some reason I like small-time info like that. Never know when you might be put on a game show on the street and asked why type of hat women in the 19th century wore for portraits so you can win 10 million dollars. --Sir Oliphaunte (განხილვა)
