Not sure, but...[edit]

Could "{{#if:{{{alt|}}}|{{{alt|}}})|{{{title}}}}}" be used to make an optional alternate title? I'm not very good with these things. ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 10:05, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

IT WORKS! MUAHAHA! MUAHAHA! ~ Ghelæ the Strangetalkcontribs 10:33, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
Oops, doesn't work for this one --HPSig.PNGHP talk 11:11, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
Underscores dont work eithers.... --HPSig.PNGHP talk 12:51, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
No, it's tags that don't work. ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 12:56, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
The last tag works. --HPSig.PNGHP talk 13:02, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
But {{{alt}}} can't have tags, for {{{title}}} to work with tags --HPSig.PNGHP talk 13:11, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
Also, like you said, underscores should be used for {{{alt}}}... --HPSig.PNGHP talk 13:14, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
No, underscores need to be used for {{{title}}} (if it is an externa link), {{{alt}}} doesn't need underscores and can have <tags>. ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 13:24, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
Well that was the case until you swapped {{{title}}} and {{{alt}}} around. ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 13:26, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
I tried {{{alt}}} originally with tags, but also doesn't work through the [[wikipedia: x | y]] thing. --HPSig.PNGHP talk 13:35, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
As a funny result, if {{{alt}}} is left blank, it pulls up an error page on Wikipedia...hehe --HPSig.PNGHP talk 13:39, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
