Usage

1. {{Fakeexternallink|link text}}
2. {{Fakeexternallink|link text|hover text}}
3. {{Fakeexternallink|link text|}}

The difference between these is the hover text, which is only visible when rolling one's mouse over the link. In the first, hover text defaults to link text. In the second, hover text is customized. In the third, no hover text is shown.

 Note: If your link text contains a protocol (e.g. http://) for extra realism, it needs to be wrapped in <nowiki>...</nowiki>

Styling

The template styling is controlled by the site-wide stylesheet so an icon can be added.
