The Underground Railroad was a network of secret contacts and safehouses which helped negroes escape the slave states of the American South and make their way to the free states of the North.
The obvious line to take with Underground "Subway" is that it is really the front for a network of safehouses which help fat people....er, escape something or other.
Not to say that the obvious line is the best. There is equal humor in the unconventional. But right now I kind of feel that while you take some good whacks at Subway®™© you really don't connect to the Underground Railroad. ----OEJ 01:06, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
