I have the page set up to randomly use one of the four common variations for spelling Muhammad/Muhammed/Mohammad/Mohammed, as different people seem to spell it differently.--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 02:27, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

You're a scary, scary man...-Shandon
I'll take that as a compliment. Solid Gold is probably too obscure a reference, but it provides a nice saw to the Islamist see, as it were.--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 04:47, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
Shandon saw Solid Gold in its day, but didn't see Dionne Warwick drunk and get called for it by Bill Cosby--Shandon 05:08, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
I vaguely recall it. It was awful. I like the way this page is turning out, however. The bit about Andy Gibb losing a hand was funny enough that when I thought of it, I slid off the toilet and bashed my head on the sink.--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 05:14, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
<insert name here> likes it when you bash your head in the sink. It turns him on.--Shandon 05:25, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
I think we started a bad thing with the {{USERNAME}} thing. I wonder how long it will take before people figure out that <insert name here> only works once per page.--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 05:31, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
Ha! Hardwick Fundlebuggy noticed this morning when he tried to add another {{USERNAME}} to VFH. {{USERNAME}}, however, continues to multiply...--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 16:40, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Song[edit]

Devil Went Down to Jordan -- love that song. --Lenoxus 02:47, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. It wasn't until I had the picture done that I checked the interweb and found out that it's a real song, and a christian one at that! I accidentally saved that element of the pic only as a jpeg, so to change it I'd have to do that bit all over. It still works, mostly...--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 03:09, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Why Solid Gold?[edit]

...because if it was just Shari'a, it wouldn't stand a chance in hell of even approaching the vaguely outlined periphery of humour. At least with the contrast of a terrible end-of-disco era show that had some "live" music (that wasn't live) it stands a chance of being a bit funny; scary satire funny.

The push that started this page was the simple coincidence that the show and the Iranian revolution started at about the same time (1980 & 1978-9).--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 19:20, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
