Sorry about that[edit]

I'm sorry it's taken two or three or four of us a while to get this article proofread, but it is a relatively long article. It looks like others have already done a great deal of work here, but I'll try to pick up the remainder. WHY???PuppyOnTheRadio 01:28, February 3, 2010 (UTC)

No problem. I still love you. (like a brother, you know... I'm not gay...) Polisz.jpgSir Ptok-BentonicznyPisz tutaj KUN 07:47, February 3, 2010 (UTC)

Trivia[edit]

The trivia section is useless information that's not even funny.

W Szczebrzeszynie chrząszcz brzmi w trzcinie.

gwoli ścisłości[edit]

letter V is not missunderstunting with U, it is used in many polish words like Volkswagen, Volkslist, Volksdeutch and even von Jungingen. Poles can also read letter X, Q, my friend has seen even one Polish who can write it, but i don't believe.

You just listed German words instead. 108.66.235.30 18:16, October 25, 2017 (UTC)
They can read Q, V, and X. (they're named ku, fau, and iks respectively).

cant' write but can read[edit]

“In a fashion similar to Chinese, most of the Polish native speakers can't write but can read words of their language”
~ Some Professor on the Polish writing system

Since the internet became widespread even in Poland (especially comments sections on news sites) above is incorrect. Most Poles (at least the ones that have internet) CAN write, but CANNOT read.

the fake quote refers to difficult Polish ortography - many Poles have a lot of problems with writing certain words but once they are written, they have no problems with reading them :) Polisz.jpgSir Ptok-BentonicznyPisz tutaj KUN 13:07, March 12, 2011 (UTC)

przepraszam bardzo[edit]

can someone revert older version (before some grammar nazi fuck#d it up)? it is not W$#%#pedia.

The Polish alphabet:[edit]

A Ą B C Ć D E Ę F G H I J K L Ł M N Ń O Ó P R S Ś T U W Y Z Ź Ż 108.71.123.202 20:49, September 24, 2017 (UTC)

Q, V, and X are only used in foreign words. Yes, they also have names. And Ż can also be written as Ƶ (specifically as an uppercase letter), so Ƶ seems to be of dubious value. Apparently Ź, Ć, and Ś are no longer pronounceable.
Also, apparently Q, V, and X are no longer in the simplified Polish alphabet. So here it is, only with the letters that are actually pronounceable: A Ą B C D E Ę F G H I J K L Ł M N Ń O Ó P R S T U W Y Z Ż 108.66.234.39 12:56, October 24, 2017 (UTC)

TV channels in the upper 800s[edit]

Actually, the 800-899 range on my receiver is for music channels! So if I entered a number in the upper 800s, all I get is music! 108.66.234.172 23:01, November 24, 2017 (UTC)
