I can't tell if you're trying to be funny or not. However, I will say that although there will be 'inside Pokemon Jokes', I will still add some humour for the casual reader.

I am always saying to question yourself if you need to direct the reader off-site in order to understand your article. It's not what we do here and it suggests that you haven't amused the reader on your own. Glad your article will also minister to the rest of us not-in-the-know. Spıke 🎙️03:43 12-Feb-22

I get that, and I'm not intentionally directing the reader off-site as in "To watch the full commerical in which this joke was based on, go watch it here". I'm simply just giving the reader the opportunity to go watch the commerical so that they have more context. If that makes sense?
