I don't get it, how is this article misinformation? A++, would read again. IQ 17:24, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

Patriotism is communicable through the auditory ingestion of feces. - that line made my day :) --Huffers 01:35, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

Patriotism is the number two cause of death in war, next to improper foot care. This is why I love Uncyclopedia. --Wonder Mike 13:56, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Known subtypes of the disease:[edit]

While the American form of patriotism is by far the most virulent, there are other forms. Irish people, no matter how far removed from Ireland can experience symptoms every St. Patrick's day. This form of the disease has the unique byproduct of turning people green, followed by a hangover. This form may be genetic because its inherited. A similar species can be found in Scotland, but this is rare. Like all diseases, Africa is home to thousands of dangerous forms of Patriotism, with children being the most common victims. None of these subtypes have more than 10 million sufferers, all though collectively, there are more than the common American sufferers. The USSR had a major long-lasting outbreak which lasted until 1991. This was similar to the Irish annual breakout, but people drank vodka instead of beer and people turned red instead of green. This variety was non-seasonal. North Korea has one of the worst present outbreaks of patriotism in the world. This subtype has not been genetically mapped yet, due to the country preventing scientists from getting samples, but it's believed to be closely related to the rapidly multiplying Chinese version. Unlike all other disease in Mexico, the Mexican version of patriotism has nearly been eradicated, except for a few holdouts which managed to infect part of America. This variety is also seasonal, usually breaking out in May. Due to a high intersect rate, people with this version should be tested for gonorrhea. The largest recorded outbreak happened in the 40s when Germany and Japan had the deadliest outbreaks in history of their respective types. This caused a large outbreak in America as well. The Japanese are the only known immune people in the world. This is because they somehow are superior to everyone, yet can feel so much shame that the disease can't survive. Malaysians have some resistance to the disease, but this trait is recessive. One interesting subspecies is the Puerto Rican Variety, which has all symptoms of the American version, but also results in several other symptoms, such as additional flags and parades.
