From Pee Review[edit]

Besides the obvious spelling error, why don't people like this? What's wrong with it?

The bear is funny enough to make this article funny, if you ask my aunt.

According to the Article itself it's Been Nominated, so I don't see where you get the idea people don't like it. Unless that's part of the joke somehow. I honestly think It's pretty funny. Muffin Llama. Although It does require some cleaning up with spacing and grammer such.(I always have trouble with spacing. I think I'm just a perpetual N00b of sorts.) ;-)-Sgore 03:21, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

Oh, sorry, it was self nominated and gained -4 votes in about 8 hours. That's why I think nobody likes it. --Revpfil 09:54, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

Too few non sequiturs[edit]

I think any article about the "non sequitur" ought to be as random and disconnected as is possible. That is, each statement in it should be entirely self-referential and have absolutely nothing to do with the previous one. For example,

  • The non-sequitur is an endangered species of tornado. He is married to actress Oscar the Grouch. Although, at first glance it may seem that the fire involved would lead to injuries, there are actually several forms of printing paper. This is not to say that they were poorly received by all Czechs. In fact, it is the highest cactus in the world. The main difference being, of course, that the latter is incompatible with DOS. Which is where he first learned to play the guitar. So could a typical helicopter. Instead, it is made entirely from bread. Or could it have been the butler? They were not satisfied with the results. So she decided to look for him. On the other hand, the remote-controlled model is less heavy. This was the first time she had saved an individual from drowning. He didn't say from which restaurant. Its sting causes severe itching. Suddenly, he remembered where he had left it. Nor are all pairs in complementary distribution.

Y'know, totally random. Lest readers fail to "get it".—Aybabtu 03:57, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

My only real knowledge of what a non-sequitor is[edit]

From episodes of Family Guy, I heard non-sequiturs tossed around as those flashback 5 second skits, like that time I went to that Mexican Restaurant in Paris dressed as a pinata.

So...whats the real definition anyway? Wikipedia is too vague.--Witt, Union leader.gif of Union member.gif UNion Entertain me* 23:22, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

People do like it[edit]

This is actually one of my favourite articles on the site, I actually couldn't stop laughing for about half an hour after reading it. I think I nominated it when I first joined but it got shouted down and taken off. The problem is that when people read an article up for VFH they approach it too analytically/objectively and don't just react to it naturally. If you want it featured I think you could take the lower half of the page and make it a little less random, but you might not think that's in the spirit of the article. --Kelpan 22:54, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

Definition[edit]

A non sequitur is a statement that is irrelevant to the previous statement. For example: "The American economy is the worst it has ever been in many years. Is a unicycle considered furniture?" I hope you now have better understanding of it. --General Insineratehymn 05:07, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
