Talk:Bob the Generic n00b

I got an idea for one based off Nethack, although I haven't played the game in ages and wouldn't be able to make a faux-screenshot, so I'd appreciate if someone could pretty this up for me:
read scroll of genocide
genocide what
grues
[It's cursed, just like every other item Bob picks up! Even regular stuff that doesn't come in cursed forms, like food rations are always cursed...]
.>b...b.. ....bb..b ..].....$ ...GGG... :..G@G... ...GGG... .......[. ...%..... ..AAAA!..
Do you want your possessions identified? [ynq]

- If you want to add something, go for it... like that template says, heck your stuff is probably funnier than mine. Besides, I've never heard of Nethack and have no idea what you're talking about... so if someone who has some knowledge of a game and can incorporate Bob into it gets an idea, well, break out the champagne. I'm all for it. --Andorin Kato 05:47, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
- I haven't played it in ages, and I really should play some... Anyway, it's all text based, so those who play it can easily make faux screens. But I'll see if I can spruce it up. --User:Nintendorulez 21:00, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
- Excellent. Oh, and for the record, text-based games are, in my opinion, the best for the article because I don't have Photoshop and because it's easier to adapt the character into them. --Andorin Kato 23:27, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
- It's a pretty good game, the most popular derivative of Rogue. In the little mini screen I make above, @ would be the player, G grues (I never get that far before being killed, but I wouldn't be surprised if the devs have these guys as actual enemies), b killer bees, % some sort of food item, : a newt, $ a pile of gold, > stairs leading to the next floor of the dungeon, [ and ] representing many types of items and a mimc I forget which is which. ****ing mimics and AAAA! an obligatory reference. Legitimate screen here. --User:Nintendorulez 00:13, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

From Pee Review[edit]
I think it needs some help from other, better Uncyclopedians than I... --Andorin Kato 02:36, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- Believe me, I really want to review this one, but I just don't know any game that is mentioned in the article. Sorry for that - It's gneomI 14:39, 5 February 2007 (UTC) (but this will bring the request back up! ;) )
- Here is a guy who has experienced n00bs too much. This is too close to the truth. This almost is the truth. Wow. Marshal Uncyclopedian! Talk to me!
